did short laps on the lower backside both saturday and sunday..it was fast yesterday after being raked of leaves and pinestraw..kinda spotty wet saturday..overall good..also rode over to UNCW on friday afternoon..mostly a yawner, cause the place lacks technical type trails to even break a sweat on..overall prolly did 50 miles in 2.5 days..

Damn! I did maybe .50 miles around my neighborhood...LOL! I hope the weather holds out and it dries out a bit more.

No bridges?

Your going to spend hundreds of hours in labor "armoring" a wetland..with permission of coarse..Yet you have an elevated bridge which already exist's which can seriously be updated within half the time by using some pressure treated wood and a little enginuity..just don't get it.. since the "armored" part is always going to be under water when it rains, thus increasing the chances of keeping the trail closed longer??
Kind of a catch 22 situation??
NO??

That structure cannot be updated. I'm not a big fan of using wood around here. Too much maintenance - nail pops, traction, inspections, etc. Doesn't hold up as well. For a skills area or short bridges it's fine. But that's up to the county - how much they want to put into this place. Right now it's not even a line item on the budget.
