Surveying along Blue Clay road

I drove up from North Myrtle today to ride the trails and noticed the surveying control points set along Blue Clay road. They also flagged up an old rail road spike located in the telephone pole near the picnic table. The rail road spike is used for an elevation set above sea level. Thanks
